Created in 2018 by C&P to guide the development of Sagitta and the accessibility mapping software. The group comprises wheelchair users, family members and caregivers.

Para Athletics team at Steadward Centre

Our mutual goal is to increase the success of Canadian wheelchair track athletes through biomechanical and physiological studies that can only be conducted in an accurate simulator.

An Edmonton-base charity promoting recovery following SCI and related injuries through a program of exercise therapies, education and training.

Spinal Cord Injury Society Treatment Centre Society

Alberta-based advocate for the adoption and delivery of assistive technologies for people with SCI. They focus on functional electrical stimulation and research to improve quality of life and promote improved independence.

Dr. Judy Chepeha

Associate Professor, Department of Physical Therapy, University of Alberta. Judy has specialized for over 20 years in the treatment of shoulder injuries and has a passion for prevention of wheelchair overuse injuries.

Dr. Adalberto Loyola Sanchez

A clinician-scientist PM&R physician at University of Alberta and Glenrose Rehabiliation Hospital whose research interest is to improve outcomes for patients in transition.


Lead for the Edmonton Zone Wheelchair and Special Seating Clinic, she works with our team providing clinical and technical expertise.

Rehabilitation Robotics Lab (RRL)

Sagitta device was built within this lab. RRL is an inter-disciplinary research lab focused on improving quality of life through robotics and technology.
