After being paralyzed from her waist down, Gill was inspired to open the ReYu Paralysis Recovery Center in Edmonton where her goals are to change the world, enhance neuroscience recovery and end the stigma around having a disability. Gill shared her experience with navigating through Edmonton and how the Sagitta device would enhance her ease of travel in a wheelchair. She faces constant barriers such as a lack of snow removal and high curbs that make doing everyday activities such as going to the gym difficult and sometimes impossible on her own. The sagitta device would allow wheelchair users to be aware of plowed routes, closed sidewalks and other transportation barriers to better assist them in navigating through the city.
